Anxiety, Depression and PTSD
You don't have to go through life feeling sad, lost, or constantly anxious. With a combination of clinical hypnotherapy, CBT, and NLP, I can assist you in reducing or even overcoming the debilitating effects of ongoing anxiety and trauma. The number of sessions needed may vary depending on the severity and origin of the problem, which we'll determine after the initial session.
Anger management
This is a program for controlling anger and preventing its destructive manifestations: Without anger management, your outbursts of hostility may eventually have catastrophic consequences. As with all my work, I take a multi-stranded approach looking at the roots of the anger response, the triggers of the anger (not the same thing!), the behaviours that result and the consequences that arise. Through a process of exploration and resolution, we will work together to reduce and resolve the causes and implications of unwanted bursts of anger
Performance Mindset
I have worked with cricketers, golfers and tennis players on both the mental aspects of their game and on wider issues that surround being a competitive amateur or professional player. Support here can be focused a particular ‘in game’issues or more general symptoms and include other issues such as those listed on this page.
Relationships
We are a world built of relationships and sometimes the most important ones are the most difficult to keep healthy and working well BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT. Maintaining great relationships is a life skill most of us have learned 'on the job' with all the problems that can therefore arise! My approach is to work with you to build again the essential trust, openness and tolerance of difference; to help you strengthen the ability to listen with respect and compassion and speak in a way that gets heard, and to enable love and affection do their magic!
Life coaching
Using a unique approach co-developed with the renowned psychologist Dr Michael Apter I offer an approach that begins with your 'wholeself' - deepening your understanding of who you are and what you have to offer the world. This is a much more useful 'starting point' for change than searching around for goals that can feel vague and abstract. It sees your life as something you 'inhabit' and from which clear goals and choices can be made. A coaching programme is usually over 4 x 1 hour sessions.
